Van Gogh's masterpieces revealed in a new way in Paris

Fascination by Vincent Van Gogh grows more and more. It causes inspiration for new and innovative approaches, to decode and fully understand his life and work.

From February 2019. to January 2020. Atelier des Lumieres in Paris hosted unique exhibition.

Main goal was to offer specific kind of immersion into turbulent life and most famous masterpieces produced by genius Vincent Van Gogh. His enormously productive period from 1885-1889., provided richly colored pieces of art, loaded with personal sentiment and his unique approach to the world of painting.

Famous “Sunflowers”, “Bedroom at Arles” , “Starry Night” or Van Gogh’s self portraits, are just a part of this exclusive exhibition. It simply drags you directly inside Van Gogh’s creative mind.

Floor and walls of Atelier des Lumieres were used as a perfect screen to project Vincent’s lines, colors and shapes that grow and change around you.

Water surface, stars and pastures from Van Gogh’s best known paintings started to move slowly. They became alive, while painter’s famous impasto technique of thick layers of colors, could be almost felt and touched.

After the visit you are at least a bit closer to the essence of Van Gogh’s vision and heritage….
