Beauty of Maldives

No matter if Maldives are relatively close to sunk, I will tell you the story…..

Maldives are beautiful islands in Indian Ocean, and if you travel there, choose Kaani Beach Hotel on Maafushi Island. That’s the place where I stayed as well.

Be sure, whenever you want to play some sports in the shallow water, stingrays will almost follow you constantly. I think when stingrays pull in their eyes, then they are angry. In reality, they are afraid of us. When I went on an excursion to Fihalhohi island, there was another story, but about sharks. These baby sharks are very friendly, while my father claims he noticed a big one while snorkeling. Who knows if that is true.

Although I found many nice sea shells on the beach, we were very careful to take only empty ones, or dead broken corals, to avoid fine and paying many rufias (local Maldivian money) in case of destroying nature.

While walking down the beach, once I saw a bird, similar to heron, but for me it looked more like prehistoric dodo bird.

In Maldives, the only meat you can eat is chicken or fish which I do not like. One day, I finally I tried chicken legs in a nice sauce. Usually, I ate soups, noodles with vegetables or nice pastas.

I saw Maldivian big sea turtles while snorkeling. Now I know how shallow and close to corals they swim, so I could barely pass through to follow them. In Maldives, fish on corals are amazing. Some of them have bright colors, and one had dark blue around eyes, so I called it “spy fish”. I also enjoyed clown fish better known as nemo.

When we were walking down the streets of Maafushi island, I saw bright green parrot, as a pat of a local guy. I took a picture with parrot standing on my hand, but I forgot how my hand was burned in the sun. I realised how parrots even without teeth have very strong beak.

On Maafushi beach, two days before returning home, I decided to climb half way to the top of a leaned palm tree. I did it and after, I went directly to buy fresh coconut and drink sweet water from it.

On Maldives I’ve found the most beautiful rare animals, and I enjoyed it the most, out of any other tropical island I have visited so far.
