Beauty of Bansko
Bansko is one of the best ski resorts I have visited so far.
There, I’ve met even a local pet – big dog that used to come every morning to our hotel to salute me before I went skiing.

Conquering World Cup black “Tomba” run
When I arrived with my dad to Banderishka Polyana, where all ski lifts start, first we chose slope number 1. for warm up. Then we were off to go to Todorka – highest point reachable by cable car or eventually directly to Tomba black run number 9.

When it was too cold, and we were around Todorka summit, we would do frequent breaks in the nearest mountain hut, sitting next to the fireplace. During those snowy days when snow covered all the streets, we used to do a walk in the afternoon and admire all the whiteness around us.

Every morning I would wake up very early expecting my skiing adventures. I was always keen to explore old, abandoned cable car named Tsarna Mogila, but I need to wait to grow up a bit, since it is dangerous, due to avalanches which can raise down everything on its way.
Mateja is ready for red slope No.8
After I was done with serious skiing, dad and I would ski down the ski road, which connects ski slopes and Bansko town. There, in the peak times it is interesting to avoid thousands of beginner skiers and enjoy low incline of terrain. Half way down, we would turn right to reach lower slope section named Chalin Valog. There are only three lonely slopes there, but you never feel lonely when you ski them. The steepest slope there is No.15 which joins red one where I was able to do a full speed run.

I liked the most our lunch breaks in Chalin Valog, on a sunny day, and when I smell my favourite sausages waiting for us at the restaurant, just next to the slope.
There were those days when we used evenings to visit Bansko ice skating arena. I was always excited in that momen,t when my ice skate touches clean and shining ice. A few times after ice skating we stopped for a drink at huge and popular cafe-restaurant Ginger, where I enjoyed wooden interior and live Premier League football matches.

Almost every day we were ready for delicious freshly squeezed orange juice sold at the street kiosk. For 5 LEVA or 2.8 USD I had my 0.5l of pure vitamins.

Bansko will always be my second home filled with joy, love, happiness and a lot, a lot of snow!!!
